Today, the Washington Bar Association and the Washington Bar Association Educational Foundation, Inc. will celebrate Law Day 2014 with its annual dinner, which will feature the presentation of the Charles Hamilton Houston Medallion of Merit to National Bar member Allie B. Latimer. Readhere.
Confirmation Vote of Judge Gayles Expected Next Week
On, April 1st, Judge Darrin P. Gayles’ U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing took place on Capitol Hill. President Obama nominated Judge Gayles to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida on February 5, 2014. Judge Gayles’ nomination now moves onto the full U.S. Senate for a vote of confirmation. The National Bar Association reaffirmed its endorsement this week. Read here.
